O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1, Sensor 1)
What does P0135 mean?
P0135 means the heater circuit inside the upstream oxygen sensor on bank 1 is not working. That heater brings the sensor up to operating temperature quickly after a cold start so it can report accurately. Without it the computer runs on preset values for longer, raising emissions and fuel use.
Can I keep driving with P0135?
Low urgency
Safe to drive. The cost is running slightly rich after cold starts until the sensor warms up on its own, plus an emissions failure.
